A month and a half in Bali, and the first time I let the photograph move with me. From the back of a scooter the island opened up: in a few hours I crossed more places, faces and fleeting moments than I could have reached in a week on foot. Everything moved fast, so I learned to see fast, to catch the instant just before the road carried it away.
